Home Decorating
Don't you just love having new things for your home? But, we all know how important it is to stay within a budget. We have gathered ideas and projects to give your home a lift without breaking the bank! Like many of our readers, the families of Bountiful Home Life, too, live on tight budgets. Our original goal in creating this website was to share ideas for decorating your home on a budget. This will be one of our favorite pages!
We also enjoy creating great, usable outdoor space at our homes. Here you will find everything from small decorating ideas to larger projects that you CAN do yourself. Some may require a little bit of strength, but I'm sure you will be able to find that helper!
If you have pillows on your couch, you might enjoy making pillow covers for holidays or seasons that you particularly enjoy celebrating. It is an inexpensive way to give a new look to a room.
My daughter has been rearranging her home lately. The grandchildren say "Now we have a new house!" This is an inexpensive way to "decorate" your home. By swapping furniture and decorations from one room to another you can make your home feel new and different. Below is the story of my daughter's most recent furniture rearranging project.
My small house is growing with our children! Seems the older our kids get, the more items we really do need! This cabinet stores all our homeschool curricula and craft supplies. I recently needed to move our computer desk to the dining room area. The dining room felt a bit cramped and busy with wall-to-wall of furniture. So, I decided to move the buffet to the kitchen to create an "island"!

I mentioned before that I moved our computer desk to the dining room. We had this cute chair with our desk originally, but I left it in the bedroom to serve as a chair for putting on shoes, etc. I ended up putting a black folding chair with our desk. That saved a bit of storage room in our master closet!

The black Bakers Rack on the right used to be in my kitchen area. But because we moved extra furniture in there, it just seemed TOO busy and cluttered. So, I rearranged some smaller items in the living room and placed it in there. Because my living room, kitchen, and dining room all have similar decor, I was able to easily switch the items around.
